Ogasawara Anri (小笠原杏里), better known by her stage name ANRI, is a Japanese singer and performer. She is a former member of MOONCHILD.
She passed the iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~ audition in the girls division as one of seven winners in 2022 and was selected as one of the members of MOONCHILD.
Biography[]
Ogasawara Anri was born on November 3, 2005 in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
In 2016, she took part in the Kira Entertainment Challenge Contest (KIRA CHALLE) sponsored by avex and received the Photogenic Award.[1]
From 2021 to 2022, she participated in the girls division of the audition iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~ and was chosen as one of 7 winners, securing her spot and debut as a member of a future girl group.[2][3][4][5][6]
On May 3, 2023, ANRI made her major debut as a member of MOONCHILD with the release of the group's first EP DELICIOUS POISON.
At the end of the year, she revealed in interviews that she had taken the university entrance exam and would be a university student in 2024. "[...] I am filled with joy and excitement at learning new things in both my academic studies and musical activities. I believe I will be able to bring back what I learn through research and study to my musical activities, and vice versa, so I am looking forward to a future full of possibilities. I want to work hard to become an independent adult while keeping my curiosity about new things."[7]
On April 30, 2024, MOONCHILD disbanded. In the disbandment announcement, it was revealed that ANRI would continue her activities with CDL entertainment.

- Her goal in life is to "become someone who can have a positive impact on someone's life". "I think that if I can have even a small impact on someone's life, then my life will have meaning."[15]
- In order not to forget that feeling of gratitude, she writes down five things she is thankful for each day in a notebook before going to bed. "When I think back to the things that made me happy or made me feel good, I can sleep in a good mood."[8]
- Is grateful for the people around her, and her family comes to see her once a week even though she lives away from her parents.[8]
- Likes paleontology and wants to do a job where she can use that.[12]
- Her favorite food is natto kimchi rice, and her favorite sweet is yokan.[10]
- Before the final judging of the iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~, she cut her long hair into a bob hairstyle, which was a suggestion from the visual director of the division (Yamanaka Sara).[16]
- An piece of advice from ØMI that stuck with her is that "the important thing is not to be number one, but to be the only one" since artists are often compared to each other. "If each one of us creates a different path, we can always be in the lead, so instead of following the same path as others, we should only to follow our own path and continue to be number one in our own genre."[10]
- For stage outfits, she likes a "beautiful, fluffy tutu costume like a dress" since she admires princesses.[14]
- Has always listened to Western music due to her parents' influence, but was influenced by a friend she met while taking the university entrance exam who was a big fan of J-POP to start listening to J-POP as well. She likes millennium parade and King Gnu.[17]
- Has been a fan of BTS since she was in the fourth grade, and been a K-POP fan ever since.[18]
