This is a list of trivia, stats and curiosities of the group E-girls.

Trivia

  • The group was originally created as the sister group of Japanese boy group EXILE.[1] However, after the E.G.11 lineup change in 2017, the group was rather perceived as the sister group of Japanese boy group GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE that had debuted a year after them (in 2012), as the members of both groups often promoted together and appeared in each others music videos and variety shows.
  • For releases in which the main song was used as the theme song for e-ma CMs, the group used the name e-girls. 3 E-girls' songs were used for e-ma CMs: "CANDY SMILE" (2013), "Kurukuru" (2013) and "Mr.Snowman" (2014). In 2015, Happiness' song "Holiday" was used as the theme song.
  • Washio Reina is the only member to be vocally featured on all A-side singles of the group.
  • SAYAKA, Kaede, Fujii Karen, Washio Reina and Sato Harumi are the only members who appeared on all A-side singles since the group's debut.
  • "Gomennasai no Kissing You" is the:
    • Best selling single of the group.
    • The first single to hit the #1 on Oricon's daily chart.
  • "Follow Me" is the:
    • Best selling digital single of the group.
    • The most recognizable E-girls song among Japanese fans.
  • "One Two Three" is the lowest selling single of the group.
  • "Gomennasai no Kissing You" and "Diamond Only" are the singles with most members on its line-up (29 members).
  • "CANDY SMILE" and "Mr.Snowman" were the singles with the least members on the line-up (12 members) until the group's reformulation as a 11-member group.
  • The most used line-up of vocalists before the reformulation was with Shizuka, Ami, Fujii Karen and Washio Reina.
  • "One Two Three" was the first music video to include a Seifuku Dance. "Highschool♡love" is the last one to include it. A "homage" to the segment was made in the music video of "Y.M.C.A.".
  • From 2013 to 2017, the group participated on NHK's Kouhaku Uta Gassen, a popular annual new years eve's event.
    • In 2013, their first performance on the TV show, they performed a medley of the songs "Follow Me" and "Gomennasai no Kissing You".
    • In 2014, they performed "Highschool♡love".
    • In 2015, they performed "Dance Dance Dance".
    • In 2016, they performed "DANCE WITH ME NOW!".
    • In 2017, they performed "Love ☆ Queen".
  • As of 2023, all the groups and units who were part of E-girls have disbanded. Happiness was the last active group until they disbanded on September 26, 2023.
  • Initially, the group focused on catchy dance-pop and bubblegum-pop aimed at teenage girls. Since the release of their 13th single "Anniversary!!", they have adapted a more mature sound without a fixed concept, performing various genres from synth-pop, disco, EDM, jazz, rock, dance-pop to ballads.[2][3]
  • According to the members, the group became more self-produced after the reformation as E.G.11, with each member being able to show their individuality more: "They would like to do something like this, or wonder if the fans would be happy if they did this, and which of these ideas could be realized. In meetings to discuss live performance and setlists, there used to be not much of that kind of casual idea exchange, but now there is no tension, in a good way, and it has become very active. For example, Harumi (Sato) and Nozomi (Bando) gather materials for costumes, and SAYAKA, Kaede, and Sudanna (Anna Suda) from the performance team come up with ideas for direction." (Takebe Yuzuna)[3]
  • On December 27, 2019, avex revealed the top 5 artists with the highest number of views in total on their YouTube channel. On this list, E-girls took the 3rd spot with a total number of about 530 million views.[4]
  • The members have revealed that there are no hair color regulations within the group: "Basically, we can use any hair color we want, but we are not allowed to change our hair color during the tour." (Suda Anna), "But even during the tour, we sometimes change it just a little bit so that the impression remains the same (laughs)." (YURINO)[5]
