EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 3 ~For Girls~, short VBA3, was an all-female audition held by LDH JAPAN in 2011, from February to May.

The audition was announced on January 1, 2011, during the TBS program "CDTV Special! New Year's Eve Premiere Live 2010→2011".[1]

There were two different divisions contestants could apply for, the vocal division and the dance division. One of the objectives of the audition was to recruit new members for the already existing groups Happiness and Flower.[1]

All in all, approximately 30.000 applicants participated in the audition. The audition process was broadcasted on TBS Shuukan EXILE, and the the final live screening was held at SHIBUYA-AX on May 14, 2011.[2]

Elegibility[]

Girls eligible to apply had to be between 12 and 25 years old and must not be under contract with a specific record company or entertainment agency.[1] For minors, the consent of a parent or guardian was required.

The application process was open to the general public.

  • Takahashi Yu went on to become a model and actress under Asia Promotion.
  • Morii Aimi went on to become a singer-songwriter with the stage name "Aimyon" under the label unBORDE from Warner Music Japan.
  • Kanakubo Mayu went on to become an actress and model under Horipro Digital Entertainment.
