LDH Presents THE GIRLS AUDITION 2018

LDH Presents THE GIRLS AUDITION was an all-female audition held by LDH JAPAN in 2018, from June to October.

There were three different divisions contestants could apply for, the vocal division, the dance division, the model division and the acting division. The winners of each division would either join E.G.Family, LDH models or appear in a film directed by Miike Takashi.[1]

All in all, approximately 10.000 applicants participated in the audition. The process of the audition was broadcasted on TBS Shuukan EXILE, and the successful candidates were announced in the broadcast on October 29.

Eligibility[]

Girls eligible to apply had to be between 4 and 20 years old (born between April 2, 1998 and April 1, 2009) and must not be under contract with a specific record company or entertainment agency. For minors, the consent of a parent or guardian was required.[2][3][4]

The application process was open to the general public.

Finalists[]

The 1st screening was passed by 335 contestants. The 2nd screening was passed by 52 contestants. The 3rd screening was passed by 18 contestants (vocal/dance: 11, acting: 5, model: 2). In the end, there were 6 successful applicants (passed 4th screening), vocal/dance: 2, acting: 3, model: 1. The finalists who did not make it became part of EXPG Lab after the audition.

  • It was the first all-female audition held by LDH JAPAN in seven years.
  • Yokoi Rui, Yamashita Yuna, Yamaguchi Kira, Miyamoto Sara, Ikeda Natsumi and Katsuragawa Ran were members of EXPG Lab's project group KIZZY at the time of the audition.
  • Abiru Saya, Ikeuchi Kaho and Nishisumi Rio were members of EXPG Lab's project group PATTY at the time of the audition.
  • Kubo Reina is a former member of the idol girl group Prizmmy☆.
  • Uetsuhara Ran went on to become a singer-songwriter.
  • Ueda Miyabi went on to become a model under LesPros Entertainment.
  • Hanabashi Rio went on to become a member of the girl group NiziU from JYP Entertainment.
  • Hishida Myuka and Shimoyama Amu went on to become members of the girl group MAGICOUR.
  • Tanaka Amika went on to become a member of the SNS group Team48.
  • Ikeuchi Kaho went on to become a member of the professional dance team Benefit one MONOLIZ.
  • Ikeda Honoka went on to become a member of the professional dance team USEN-NEXT I'moon.
  • Hachimoji Emily went on to become a member of the girl band idol THE COINLOCKERS.
  • Nishizumi Rio went on to become a member of the girl group CYBERJAPAN DANCERS.
  • Ogura Yuna went on to become a member of the idol group bugAboo from A Team.
  • Hayashi Mirei went on to become a member of the idol group SKE48.
