Sugano Yuri (菅野友里), better known by the stage name Leola (レオラ), is a Japanese singer-songwriter and actress managed by LDH JAPAN and signed to Sony Music Associated Records.

She auditioned to the EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 3 ~For Girls~ in 2011 on the vocal category, but got defeated during the semi-finals.

She got signed to Sony Music Associated Records in 2016 and made debut in April of the same year with the single "Rainbow" under the stage name Leola.

Career[]

2016[]

On April 20, Leola debuted with the release of her first single "Rainbow".

On August 24, she released her second single "Let it fly". The title track was pre-released digitally on July 29.

On November 23, she released her third single "I & I". The title track was used as the ending theme song for the TV anime Fune wo Amu, and an "Anime Size" version of the song was released digitally on October 10. The full song was later pre-released digitally on November 18.

On December 9, she released the special digital single "Let it fly ~X'mas version~ / I & I".

2017[]

On June 28, Leola released her fourth single and first double A-side single "Koiseyo Watashi. / Mr.Right". The first A-side, "Koiseyo Watashi.", was pre-released digitally a day earlier, on June 27. The b-side of the single's regular edition, PREMIUM STUDIO SESSION on 23/11/2016, was also released separately as a digital live EP on June 28 and features six songs she performed at LINE MUSIC's LINE LIVE PREMIUM STUDIO SESSION on November 23, 2016.

On July 12, she released her first studio album titled Hello! My name is Leola..

From September 29, 2017 to March 17, 2018, she held her first live tour titled Leola 1st Oneman Live "Hello! My name is Leola.".

2018[]

On February 7, she released her fifth single "Puzzle".

On August 1, Leola released her first mini-album LOVE, LIFE & LAUGHTER. The lead song of the album, "Sunshine & Happiness", was pre-released digitally on June 18, and another track, "Magic Clap", was pre-released digitally on July 23.

On September 21, she released her first digital single "Kissing".

On December 4, she released her second digital single "Kimi ga Suki de,,,".

2019[]

On January 23, she released the digital live single "LINE LIVE WINTER SESSION" which features three songs she performed at LINE MUSIC's LINE LIVE WINTER SESSION on December 23, 2018.

On April 12, she released her third digital single "STAY BEAUTIFUL".

On May 31, Leola released her fourth digital single "After the Rain" featuring singer FUKI.

From June 18 to September 7, she held her second tour Leola Live Tour 2019 "HANGRY!?".

On June 28, she released her fifth digital single "Alright!.

On August 7, she released her second studio album Things change but not all.

On October 23, she released her sixth digital single "Umikaze". It was used as the theme song for the Sono Shunkan, Boku wa Nakitaku Natta -CINEMA FIGHTERS project- movie Umikaze.

2020[]

On July 7, Leola released her seventh digital single "Futari" featuring JAY'ED.

On September 29, she released her eighth digital single and second double A-side single "Naimono Nedari / Lucky Me". Both A-sides were used as insert songs of the movie Shousetsu no Kamisama Kimi to Shika Egakenai Monogatari.

On November 13, she released her ninth digital single and third double A-side single "Shiroi Page no Naka ni / Asa ga Kuru You ni".

2022[]

On March 19, she released her tenth digital single "GIFT". The song served as the theme song for "The 38th National Urban Greenery Fair Kumamoto (Kumamoto Green Vision Expo)".

2023[]

On March 25, Leola held a joint live event with Dream Shizuka titled -LeoShiz- YOYOMI premium LIVE&TALK to celebrate each other's birthday with a special crosstalk and live concert.[1][2]

On June 3, she held a second joint live event with Dream Shizuka titled -LeoShiz- YOYOMI Vol.2.[3]

On September 30, she held a third joint live event with Dream Shizuka titled -LeoShiz- YOYOMI Vol.3.[4]

On October 10, it was announced that Leola's new song "Tadaima" featuring EXILE NESMITH had been chosen as the ending theme for the TV anime Jashin-chan Dropkick Seikimatsu-hen, which would start airing on December 26. The song was released as a digital single under LDH Records on December 22.

On December 23, she held a fourth joint live event with Dream Shizuka titled -LeoShiz- YOYOMI Vol.4 Special Xmas Edition.[5]
