Matsumoto Misaki (松本美咲), also known by her stage names MISAKI and Misaki, is a Japanese singer and performer. She was a member of the groups PARADISE GO!! GO!!, REAL FORCE and Love.

At the end of 2012 following Love's disbandment, MISAKI left LDH and retired from the entertainment industry. In 2019, she resumed activities as a solo singer under the agency NEW Production as Misaki.

Early Life[]

Matsumoto Misaki was born on February 6, 1991, in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. In her youth, she was a student at Osaka's entertainment school CALESS. In 2001, she became one of the first-generation members of CALESS’ acapella group BRIGHT alongside other students. Misaki left BRIGHT in 2003 to join a new CALESS' dance and vocal group called 9SOULS. Eventually, 7 members of the unit debuted as PARADISE GO!! GO!! under the record label avex trax and joined the management company LDH.

Career[]

Misaki made her official debut in the entertainment industry as a member of PARADISE GO!! GO!! on August 4, 2004.

At the end of 2006, she started having side activities with a new performance group named REAL FORCE while PARADISE GO!! GO!! went on hiatus. Misaki was one of the two vocalists of the new unit alongside STEPHANIE.

In 2009, both of them were chosen to form the vocal duo Love which led to REAL FORCE's disbandment. At this point, it was also assumed that PARADISE GO!! GO!! had unofficially ended their activities.

Misaki was the one to record the demos for the songs "Still" and "WHY" which were used at the EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 3 ~For Girls~ in 2011.

During Love's activity period, it was revealed that she had injured her vocal cords shortly after her debut. She was unable to control her voice and give a satisfying performance which led to a hiatus of the duo.[1]

Despite Misaki's vocal cord injury seeming close to a full recovery and the duo starting to promote again in spring 2012, Love disbanded at the end of the same year and she retired from the entertainment industry.

On October 1, 2019, she resumed activities as an independent artist under the agency NEW Production.[2]
